Hey Parisien, thanks for the post a couple back, looks to me as if the PMR8A was fitted up to MY2004 and B from MY2005 which is supported by the actual car with the manual perhaps being a little out of date. Will let everybody know how I get on

For anybody thats interested,

I ordered the plugs online yesterday, they came today, I fitted them this morning and full WARP drive has been restored, eBay have not even debited my account yet.

Had to do the trick with turning the battery off and on again to get the warning to go out, but it is out and has stayed out.

Having read djmhall's post from this time last year, it would appear that we have a recurring theme with failing spark plugs, I got just over 20k out of mine, but they are 6 years old.

Anyway happy days have returned, even if summer hasn't

Great stuff Lets hope thats it then Musto, unusual because the plugs are generally good for 40k plus , i cant help thinking it was possibly a coil pack beginning to break down , and the fact that you have disturbed it has rendered it okay again , this is often the case with coil packs , but once they start to go they tend to let you down every so often , here's hoping im wrong and of course its saved you a trip to the dealers for a diag

Yes, just noting even with members discount on Opies site quite a bit dearer....£92 odd versus £74

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/product-finder.aspx?CategoryID=1097&SEName=ngk-spark-plugs#results

They list the 8Bs for 04 onwards.

Musto......why not either just leave her be or better take her for a 30mins diagnostic?

Hey Guys,

Final report on this issue, started replacing plugs one by one, first one fine no noticeable issue, two hint of a misfire, but nothing significant, three slightly rougher especially on setting off but no warning lights, four decidedly rough and the warning light came on again, the conclusion that I have come to wrongly or rightly is that the plugs as a set have had there day. I put the four new plugs back in again, no warning light and a nice smart pick up on setting off. Normal service resumed and no damage done, hope this experience may help other people who may come across the same issue. it will be interesting to see if the annual service, due in November picks anything else up, if it does, I will post something here. Cheers

Further update, she passed her MOT yesterday, no emission issues which tells me that all the Lambda sensors are working properly, just something that was playing in the back of my mind.
