Yes it was in Spain .... Remember looking at the advert......Would like to see more pics of the car....Auto or not I find this one interesting. CEL light, could this be an issue? wheels and bumper is an easy fix.......Miles are low and if been serviced OK then 7to 8k would be a cracking buy....

This car has had a fortune spent on it. Loads of pics usually means the seller has little or nothing to hide. It's either a really troublesome car that is going to bankrupt the new owner, or has had everything done and will be free of major faults. The guy who owned it in 07-09 spent over £25k on servicing and repairs including a £12k top end engine rebuild! I wonder if he bought another Maserati afterwards? Probably not. The other thing I picked up was a note from the HR Owen technician that one of the chassis legs appeared to have been repaired - could be nothing, could be something - as always a proper check from an indie will sort the wheat from the chaff, even at this money.

The owner is a member on MF - I'd spoken to him once; he also owns (or owned) a couple of Astons. He'd also posted on pistonheads a while back in response to a 3200 question, saying that he'd advertised and then changed his mind as he couldn't decide what could replace it.

It's got to be worth over £10k.

25K in 3 yrs.....................gee.................thats pretty breathtaking for a car of this value.....why wasn't the engine replaced.......rather than spending more than double that an engine switch would have cost?

The owner probably had a lot of it done under warranty - there's a claim ref on some of the receipts. When I had an Alfa GTV V6 the warranty company paid out six times to a total of £4.5k in 10 months....suspension, oil pump, water pump, radiator etc etc.....

.....no wonder the warranty companies wriggle and squirm not to pay out.........................do they still quote for Alfas!!??

Thats a lot of dosh and trouble spent on that car Nigw.....how long was it off the road?

Mine was a one owner immaculate car and was never really offf the road for more than a day at a time...it's just that the Alfa GTV V6s tended to have a stage at about 40-45k miles when the suspension bushes started to go, radiator started to rust, starter motor started to wear etc etc. I had a £350 warranty which covered wear and tear - was quite nice putting the car in the garage and almost hoping something else came up that needed replacing. When I tried to renew it, the premium went up to £800!

I would say it's the most honest 3200 under 12 grand I've seen for sale.

If I were in the market for a day to day car I would go and have a look.

Agree Pibbow ... He's being honest and trying to cover off all angles with the photos ... He has a bid pf 7k and as said above with the miles it must be worth 10k of anyones money .. There are two cat cars for sale currently and a couple of 100k cars at 9k to 10k
