1st/2nd June - Pininafarina world record attempt in UK

For those that may be interested, there is a Pininfarina themed event this weekend at Hurtwood Park Polo Club and the chairman of Pinninfarina will be attended as well as some famous faces.

Cars eligible are those created by Pininfarina. My knowledge of Maserati's is very limited but I think most are by Pininfarina?

"Starting with the Brokersclub Tribute Cup Polo Tournament (2 day event) see a record breaking number of Ferrari, Maserati, Classic Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Rolls Royce as we attempt to set a world record of the largest gathering of Pininfarina designed cars in one place.

Kenney Jones Drummer of ‘Small Faces, The Faces and The Who' who has a new band ‘The Jones Gang' will grace the stage in a one off special tribute concert on the Saturday night.

Our guest include many celebrities who have a passion for cars and music including Rod Stewart, Nick Mason amongst others. Our guest of honour is Sergio's son Paolo, now Chairman of the Pininfarina design house, who has offered the presence of Pininfarina's latest creation concept car called ‘The Sergio' which he will unveil for the first time in the UK.

If you like Polo, Music or Cars then this unique event will promise to deliver the best weekends entertainment."

The record attempt is on Saturday 1st June.

That looks like a good way to spend a day. Some good pubs round there, too. Shame my weekend is accounted for or I'd have been down like a shot.

Unfortunately I don't think Pinafarina designed the Coupe 3200 or 4200, so the cars would not pass muster. I hope you all have a great time though..!!

Out of curiosity are you promoting the event on behalf of the event organisers or are you in some way involved in organising the event?

Just got this back from the organisers.

"dogs are ok if on leads and away from the Polo"

I have no affiliation with them or involvement with the organising.

We're filming there on the saturday as part of a motoring series we are producing and I asked them if they'd like more cars and posted up details on a couple of forums.

If you see me wandering around with a video camera and Presenter, come and say hi.

That's great. We shall almost certainly be there on Saturday. Speaking of which, you kindly sent to me two tickets. However, one is for the Saturday and the second for Sunday. As I'm going along with my OH, will I need to buy another ticket? Or does the ticket allow a car and its occupants entry?

oh.... never noticed that.

Just print them out twice. One for you and one for the Mrs. :biggrin:
