Just seem a lot of money......Would you spend 10k on a bi turbo Spider or 10k on a 3200.....A car that is a required taste and one that will never be able to sell on....Nice though

Not a big fan of this era Spyder but this is the nicest looking one of these I've seen.

Wonder what lurks underneath though - who's brave enough?!

I'd buy the 222 SE on eBay instead, in my opinion a prettier car and a tighter car to drive, cheaper too. Bi-turbo Spyder's do have a following though although personally I believe the Karif is a far better car to drive.

Very nice....with all that work and history, if it drives well......whats 10k for a rare-ish Maserati convertible!!!

Been discussing this with a mate of mine who fancies a convertible. Assuming this is as good as it looks, there aren't many unusual convertibles for less than £10k. This may well have a lot of 80s related issues but it would still be a rare Maserati and on a nice summers day will still draw attention.

Always amazes me guys what value Maserati ownership can be even if you have to spend a few Bob on them. People pay upwards of 3 times the amount on old Fords that we were scrapping for a past time in the 80's because they needed a little welding not full restos. Mad world.

Phil problem is they aren't great cars ...... Maserati badge or not...not sure why anyone would take the plunge into that car when a 3200 is the same money....You would really have to want the spider.....

With you on that Andy and yes for me it would be a 3200 or 4200 as I'm a GT man. We can't all look as good as Ian with the roof down. All the same these cars need saving by enthusiasts as they are part of the history we are all into and part of.

I think it takes a special person to buy any classic car in that context Andy. You can always get something newer and "better" for the same or even less money.

Think it makes a pleasant change from the coupe shape and appears to be well looked after. If its body is as solid as my old Golf cabriolet it should be a good car...well here's hoping.

A twin turbo V6, with 180BHP for under £10k, not many convertibles offer that.

I think this is a good car, assuming condition is born out. Something a bit different with decent performance and a good badge. I like straight lines so the styling also appeals but find a better convertible that offers as much for the price.

I think it would make a nice addition to your scuderia........

Solid as your old Golf Pete.....Not a chance of that...scuttle shake was shocking and build from old tin cans back then.......I liked the them back then but not aged well and not a great drive....I drove one around 8 years ago and it was't good.....One thing I will say though is that it was fast....
