The clutch was replaced by the previous owner. Clutch wear was confirmed at 13% in June 2016, at 74293 miles, when serviced at PK Supercars. Always driven in manual during my time, so no clutch issues.

Searching on other forums, and there doesn't seem to be a complete answer. As my keys operate everything apart from a full start up, it's suggested elsewhere it will definately be the chip/transponder in the key. Like you Catman, and for various other reasons, im not so sure.

Thanks for that. Mine's an 05 with only 2 sensors fitted at the front, and the wiring coming from these goes off over the wheel arch and disappears, so not apparently nothing to do with my connector issue. And there's not one at the other side, just to confuse further.

Any idea what this connection is for? I found it hanging loose when i removed the engine cover. Everything still works perfectly (apart from the front sensors but they appear to be wired elsewhere). Any help appreciated.

There are a few on ebay for similar models, but not sure would they be compatible. For example would those for a 2006 Sport GT fit a 2005 car? The part numbers are different, which would suggest they are a different fit.

The battery has been on and off a trickle charge for a few weeks when it’s not been driven so much recently. And the battery will be around 2 years old, so sounds like that might be the issue. I’ll follow the advice and hopefully all will be well again.
