    Rear drop link removal issues

Hi all, Just tried to remove my rear drop links (gran turismo s) but struggled to get the angle. The front was a piece of cake… It just happens the rears they have been tightened to the exact point where i can’t get the spanner either above or below on the side that connects to frame. I’m...

Question re: changing GT 4.7 shocks.

All done! Thanks for the support guys. Had to order a new vice, strut tool (I didn’t have an offset spanner that could reach the nut) and it was a great shout ordering a new bush. Wasn’t the easiest first time but would definitely consider tackling again now I’ve done it. Saying that, it’s...

Question re: changing GT 4.7 shocks.

Hi Guys, Had a bit of a delay as I was missing a strut nut tool or offset spanner. Sorry, this is the first time I’ve done this so I have another question. Can I reuse the ball joint? Appears in good condition other than being a little greasy. Do I need a special tool to do it or do they...

Question re: changing GT 4.7 shocks.

It’s this one. The connector looks similar but could be something else entirely or as you say potentially spare… 003 MPN: 232082 VERTICAL ACCELERATION SENSOR Suitable for cars with: Skyhook System.

Question re: changing GT 4.7 shocks.

Am I correct in thinking this (yellow connector)? Should have one of these connected? Mine seems to be missing! Any idea what would be the impact? Perhaps this is why I didn’t realise I had skyhook as it wasn’t functioning??

Question re: changing GT 4.7 shocks.

Thanks Zep. Is that trim cables in the boot or behind the wheel? …not to worry, I’ve got it. ☺️

Question re: changing GT 4.7 shocks.

Hey guys. I probably would have done that had I known it was definitely feasible. However, time was limited as it was booked into a the garage. Unfortunately after a delay with getting the wrong part and an extra delay on the delivery I am now doing it myself. So, next question… I now have...

Question re: changing GT 4.7 shocks.

Wow! Thats looks great and sounds like a bargain! I was quoted £1800 + vat for just the roof lining and that was refurb rather than a replacement. The local trimmer thought it was a bigger job and needed the windscreen off. I’ll snap their hand off if I can get a similar deal.

Question re: changing GT 4.7 shocks.

Thanks guys. New shock ordered and Scuderia said they’ll arrange for collection of incorrect shock. £1200 is a ‘shock’ but needs must! At that price I’m definitely only doing the one. Moving house so too many other priorities right now. @Bebs: Did you get the alcantara done at a trim shop or do...

Question re: changing GT 4.7 shocks.

So I didn’t even see this before as it was caked in dirt / grease. Zep and all are completely correct. It’s skyhook! Bugger!! I hope scudera will take the return. Over 1k each!?! I’ve got to do the headliner too! it’s becoming expensive considering what’s it’s now worth. ‍♂️

Question re: changing GT 4.7 shocks.

Hmm, no I’m doubting it but I really didn’t think I did. It definitely looks more like the skyhook version but I thought the 4.7 mc-shift came with it but the auto didn’t. How do I check without jacking up the car and taking the wheel off? Do you see anything in the console to indicate...

Question re: changing GT 4.7 shocks.

Haha! Yeah, I attempted to do the fronts springs about a year or so ago and there was one nut I couldn’t shift! In the end gave in and took it to the pros! Was tempted to do this myself but it’s a failed mot so need it done quickly and struggling for time.

Question re: changing GT 4.7 shocks.

Yeah good question. I did ask the garage as I know this is subjective and many/most will will say to do so. They actually said it’s not essential (both springs were replaced last year) but it’s fair to assume that advice would be on a like for like basis. Hopefully someone can confirm re: the...

Question re: changing GT 4.7 shocks.

Hi everyone, One of my rear shocks are leaking on my 2009 Granturismo S 4.7 Auto (non-skyhook). I’ve just purchased a replacement which scuderia website said would fit. However, I’m not overly confident as it’s definitely different part and the ball joints look like they could be different...

    New Key Fob help

I can open the car using the remote fob I can switch on/off the alarm using the key buttons on the key fob. Battery is fine and also charged to...
