Can't hold rpm steady at 1500 to 2000 rpm - is this normal?

I had this same problem, except mine threw CEL codes P0300,301,302,303,305 (misfires), and a few others on top of that! It rarely happens now after being fixed and sometimes a battery reset will fix it up. FYI...the fix was over 1.5 years and included new O2 sensors, new cats, new coils, and a...

    Gransport Mods...

Like everyone says in a round about way...sky's the limit for mods. I've changed things up slowly over my 3 years of ownership. but over those 3 years quite a bit. Standard things like Tubi's, CF paddles, CF steering wheel, etc, all the way to switching from a pastic rear window (2002 Spyder)...

    ECU remapping

Just finished a great info session with a company called "Relentless Performance" located in Vancouver BC Canada. They are saying that they are able to get up to a 50hp gain with their remapping (even slightly more with exhaust mods in place). They have lots of pictures showing dyno readings...

    4200 repair/workshop manual

Send me your email address via PM and I can send you a link to the repair manual. I don't mind sharing, but keep in mind I can only send 5 per month through "dropsend.com" as it's an almost 50mb file. First come (after rob5170 of course) first served. :)

    Nav/Radio Restoration

Lorenz....happy to see you're helping these good guys now too!! To the site members here... I feel the need to mention how great a job that Lorenz does with these buttons. The difference between his work and the work that sticky no more does is simply incomparable!! The pictures above are not...

Wheel refurb experiences - powder coat or paint?

I opted for a wet paint job. (Also went to a grigio mercury colour  ) The total cost was $600 (Canadian) and that included repair of some curb rash. They didn't even have to remove the tires!!

    Pirelli P-Zero Corsa

Just to be sure...stock front tires are 235/40 not 235/35. and rears are 265/35 not 265/30. That being said, if he has changed the wheels to those sizes, do a "google search" and you'll see the options. Hope this helps somewhat! :)

SM Brake discs group buy - it's on!

Before I commit... Any idea how much shipping a full set be to me here in BC, Canada would be? It sounds like it would still be a great deal, but the weight concerns me a bit. Even a rough estimate will suffice. Cheers, John

DIY outside temperature sensor & door card removal

I tried the "cut and paste" method, but I couldn't get the arrows to line up properly. To make it easy, if anyone wants this DIY, just PM me with an email address and I'll be happy to send the file to anyone that asks! Cheers!

DIY outside temperature sensor & door card removal

I thought I would create a "how to" file with pictures, relating to the replacement of the outside temperature sensor. It also doubles nicely as a "how to" remove the door card. Unfortunately, the file is about 3mb and the site won't let me post it. Is there any way to get around the...

    Looking for touch up paint.

Dr. Colorchip is fantastic! I used them and I'm very happy with the results. They send an exact color match, and the amount they send lasts quite a while. Have a look at the demo video on the website, and you'll see that the product works. http://www.drcolorchip.com/

    4200 lost keys

I'm not familiar with the "emergency code" either, but I did have a second key made. From dropping the car off to pick up, it was done in a day. Mind you I did book the appt. a few days before. I didn't have the red card, but I did get a new red card after. Oh...and another reason for me to...

gs clutch collapse. need help please

I watching this thread with great interest! Specifically the PP upgrade to the F430 Challenge PP. When I need to replace my clutch, I'd love to upgrade/strengthen all parts possible. Was there any confirmation in the end that the part #228738 is a simple, no mods exchange...

    Electrofan issue...

Update... I'm fairly certain my issue was due to a weak connection (thanks Catman!!). While I had the ignition turned on,and the fan at max, I felt around the many wires close to the electrofan, and lo and behold the mighty fan suddenly started! Feeling pleased that I didn't have to replace...
