thanks, i was trying to myself bearing down on the lid and turning after a liberal application of gt85. i think i am going to try the charging the battery via the cigar lighter route, just enough to get the lid open and then fix all the locking mechanism retro.
thanks
Thanks for idea but yeah I’ve given that option a go but the amount of rotation I get from the key is very small. Possibly only moves a mm. If that. I think the barrel is seized (job for another day!)
Might have pushed down a bit much a cracked a rib!

, can I charge from engine bay terminal?
4200 GranSport
Taken reg plate lights out to try and ease the key in barrel, no joy.
Wondering if there is a way to get some current into the battery enough not to turn the car over but enough to enable the remote to unlock the boot latch?
Sorry if I’m being thick here but do the buttons need to be masked before spraying? Isn’t there a high risk that the spray will penetrate through the gaps and edges of the buttons and just cause more ‘stuck’ button problems down the road?

so the lower cost option is blood sweat and tears stripping back the sticky coating and then hand over to a paintshop. is there not a wrap the bare plastic alternative? maybe the wrap wont adhere to the bare plastic?
After seeing the video of the carbon jobbies and comparing it to the silver paintjob @Chimaera500 got done, i think with the silver it looks great, sadly mine is a black exterior so carbon is defacto!
Thanks very much. One thing in Maserati ownership I have discovered is that it all depends on the search criteria. Sometimes the answer is really quick other times it takes time. Thanks for directing me to a new resource I was not aware of.
Very nice, was the seat back removal straight forward? I just got told by a wrapper that the original plastic coating will not permit wrap to adhere, but by removing the coating it might adhere to the base. I dont expect you will have taken many photos of the process but any help you can offer...
Rose joints, track rod ends, brake hoses, discs, pads, subframe corrosion, drop links, roll bars heavily corroded, f1 pipe splitting….
So all the good stuff!!
