It's not enough. AMG C63........ Twin turbo V8 with 625......is more like it.

Nope... At least go one up to a GLC

The mercs ending with an 'a' are entry level

The GLC is not that great either. Better than A class, just.
Had one for 18 months and couldn’t wait to get rid of it. Went from an ML to it, back to a GLE now.

I liked the Golf Syncro, but that was decades before stilt wearing hatchbacks became cool.

Controversial, but have the car industry invented models no one actually needs?

I know a few people with GLC 220d AMG line things... both are smitten with them. Would never have one personally, but I can sort of understand the appeal if you’re looking for a baby SUV. Sort of.

We bought a diesel 220 a couple of years ago to get a bugaboo in. Wife loves it as not too big but a decent enough cruiser. No experience with the 1.3 but what we have feels right.

Den told me it’s a Renault Underneath, actually everything below a C class is.

Sat in his, look below knee level and it was all cheap hard plastics so I believe him.

This put me off getting one on lease.

The A-class is built in the same floor plan as the Megan.

I have had a few on rent and the trim is really low rent... possibly worse than the Renault. Scratches easy and feels flimsy, OK rental cars get a tough life but a 6 month old rental shows what a car will look like in 2/3 years time.

As most are just 2 wheel drive you may as well save £5k and get the standard car... if you must have one.

Back in February I traded in my Maserati QP 4.7 S for a 9 month old Merc A200d AMG for my missus because I couldn't shift my QP (despite its fabulous condition and relatively low mileage for it's age.) I have to say that this is the first time that we've ever had a Merc in our household ( had plenty of BMW's and Audi's in the past). The Merc has turned out to be a fantastic 'pocket rocket'! It's incredibly fast for such a small car, sticks to the road like glue, bang up to date with its flat screen displays and various technical gizmos in the cockpit and incredibly frugal on fuel burn. We are consistently getting well over 60mpg irrespective of how we drive it including motorway driving. In fact we are so impressed with it that we are now looking to trade in our other motor for a Merc. GLB 200 AMG next year. If you haven't tried one of these A series motors , seriously give it a go. You might be surprised. We certainly were and now a convertee to Mercs.
PS we bought the 9 month old motor for just £19k with 7k miles on the clock. Pretty good in my book.

I would but now prefer the GLB 200 AMG Premium...on the target list for next year.

The A class motors were the first cars to have the flat screen displays ahead of any other model in Mercs line up. The GLC (4Matic preferably) is not really a comparator because it's on another level TBH.
