Hi Maserati peeps. Have any of you tried to repair a leaking pump with new bearing and seal rather than buy replacement pump.

I have heard it can be done - not sure where but the cost of a new one is horrendous!
Have a search on the forum pretty sure it’s on here

Not recommended to be fair, I know of 2 that have done this and failed after a short time, 1 very nearly taking the cambelt with it. Buy an original if you can.

You need to buy an original Maser replacement, there not cheap but its the only way to go!

David Askew used to do a refurbishment for these where the bearings were replaced. You might also try Trident spares I know Stu has some used ones which might either work or be good for refurbishment?

We have seen a few reburbs and they squeak, probably why DA does not do them anymore according to AlfaTwo.

I can confirm David Askew does not now refurb. He emailed me recently.
