MC stradale rims - are they the same as standard Granturismo rims?

Hi all, I bought a set of MC design rims for my stradale. It was quite easy to take the Trofeo design wheels off, but not so easy to put the MC design wheels on. I just want to mke sure they all have the same spec and totally interchangeable.

Can someone advise please?

Also, if any of you have easy access to your Granturismo, would you mind take a photo of the left or right tyre and show me a picture of the thread - just want to make sure I have tyres facing the right direction. Thanks

All modern era Maseratis are 5x114.3 so yes they all fit.

4200 is the last of the 5x108

Wheels can fuse on over time so it’s nothing to worry about.

As for tyre direction you have an arrow on the face of they are directional or they don’t if they are asemetrical.

Thanks for the confirmation Matt, now I can fit the wheels without any concerns.

Hi Matt, the tyres are the standard Granturismo Pirelli P Zero, will be replacing them with Michelin. I just want to try and feel the difference of having 10mm wider tyres front and rear.

Another quick question please - I am not sure the rims are fitted properly - but the front rim is right against the hub, but the rear has a small gap - it should also be against the hub right? Photo showing the gap between the rim and the bub below, I have all the bolts tighten, thought I should ask to be 100% sure!

Thanks

Pirelli’s are directional from memory so just have the arrows pointing in the forward rotation position....anti clockwise on the passenger side and clockwise on the drivers side (RHD).

If you are concerned about the wheels not sitting flush, remove and clean/wire brush them.

Tightening the bolts will pull them to where they need to be.

This is very interesting, the rear MC design ring has a different mechanism compared to the trofeo wheel (see the picture below). This means the rim can only go in 15mm and it does not allow the rim to sit flush against the hub (see photo).

The Trofeo wheel does not have this, so it sits flush against the hub once fitted. This makes me a bit nervous fitting them, I have put back to Trofeo wheels.

Probably a very obscure question, but for you MC Stradale owners with MC Design wheels, does both front and back wheels sits against the bub with no gap?

Slay, I am sorry if this is obvious, but be very carefull when removing and fitting wheels on cars with carbons. Don't let the wheels fall down on to the disks, they damage quite easily.

Thanks for the warning, I was very careful, but more about the brake calliper and forgot about the disks.
