What year was that? A Merak being advertised for more than a Muira!
Today that Merak would be around £50k, the Muira around £1.5m. (And the DB5 maybe £500k).

So the winner would be whoever bought the Muira.
I wish I knew what year for sure :)

For nice lines you have to go a long way to beat a Delahaye:

especially when Saoutchik got their hands on one:

These cars were stunning and well designed as were other around this time like the 1935 Amilcar pegase, the 1934 Voisin Saloit, or even the 1937 Cadillac pictured below.

The difference that separates it from the likes of the Phantom Corsair is style rather than just throwing money at a car

The Phantom Corsair was reputed to have cost over $25,000 dollars at a time when a new Cadillac was around $700!

Its hard to understand where Ferrari are going, design wise, with these cars, to me they have lost the plot,
I suppose i am a bit old fashioned and still prefer the flowing lines of Ferraris of the past
I guess we are not the target market! The Gen Z rich (influencers or children of oligarchs, etc) want more bling. It is not just Ferrari. Try and name a truly beautiful new design for mass production since the Granturismo or Alfa 8C? BMW & Merc have turned ghastly and many have played safe with subtle evolution (Range Rover being a perfect example). It makes me wander how gifted designers make it through the day! OEMs want market research, finance, production etc to have a say and we all know where design by committee ends up......
