Hi everyone!
WOW....what a great day. And what a great bunch of people!
You were all so friendly and great to meet up with familiar faces (Miles, Adam, Chris) and meet some new....in particular Khamsin (great guy, loved chatting to you and can't wait to see your Italian Citroen ), Gixerboy (please thank your other half for providing my missus with your wine!...much appreciated but some beers for the boys would have been a nicer touch ), Pibbow (surely the only person to travel 1000 miles for a service?) and of course.....Dem - you're a very funny guy and your attempts to avoid the AMG beating all day were in vain...we caught up with you in the end! Oh...and yes, I am slightly taller than you (you must be short...few people are shorter than me )! I also reckon if Adam and I had kept pushing for a few more minutes you'd have been an AMG convert..... we definitely nearly had you (everyone else....if he tries to say otherwise, he's lying....Dem's definitely a secret Merc man soon to come out of the closet!). Frank....you were not what I expected (I don't know why but I expected someone bald....which you definitely are not!) but another thoroughly nice chap....great to meet the almost famous Parisien
Jeeez....there were so many more of you too but I can't remember you names....sorry!
As Adam said, I reckon those early QP's are real dictators cars and as such would suit me down to the ground....I'd be really tempted to buy one so I could rock up at work in it for a day of...umm....dictating. Business as usual then! New QP's however are definitely Mafia-boss cars .....Gizerboy, you're definitely a mafia-boss kinda guy Enzo...yup, you too....I reckon you've shoved a few dead bodies in the boot of yours!
I can't believe there were soooo many Maserati's and I also loved some of the Alfa's and little Fiats.....but one of my favourite cars was not even Italian. It was the Citroen SM and I'm gutted I didn't have a chance to sit in it (Adam...you have got to learn to appreciate that car....it ain't pretty but it is unique and very special!). Oddly, I had no real interest in the Ferrari's and didn't even bother going over to the red corner to look at them - the Maser's were just so much more unique, varied and 'different' if you get what I mean!
Roll on the next meet
Oh....edit....that Qp on 22's. Whether the owner is a lurker or not...it's a FAIL. The front wheels exceeded the width of the arches by a whole inch! What he needs is a nice set of GT-S wheels
