Ones in the UK were sold out so have bought one from Italy and now have to pay the import duties!

Fecking Brexit!
If anyone is having trouble obtaining a Ciga, a similar budget alternative that uses the same automatic movement and has a skeleton face and back is the Maserati Potenza. I’ve had one for a few years now and it’s both unusual and reliable.

They'll have the same issues importing from Europe as I did.

ON a plus side, the seller has refunded me 10% of the cost to cover some of the import tax and fees, which I thought was very decent of him.

As for not wearing watches due to value, I think this is madness (unless you are going camping / somewhere truly unsafe) and I take the same approach to watches as I do to cars .... use them for what they are designed for.
Couldn’t agree more.
I have one watch and wear it every day, when I had the strap changed last year I was - bit embarrassed that the case is a little marked, but the chap in Cartier shop said it was lovely to see one being worn daily.

Straps aren't the best. Adequate.
Very Good unusual watch tho for the cash.
Stay tuned for my Daytona alternative.
Not a fan when mine arrived earlier this week. Leather one looked cheap so have replaced it with this. Has a chequered leather finish with red stitching to match the detail on the hands 96058

It's very nice. The rubber strap reminds me a bit of the band your locker key is on when you go to the swimming pool but other than that it's spot on!
To be fair it’s the closest you’ll get to a suntan at this time of year.
Why did u choose the Essex version?

My Ciga watch has just turned up and I’ve had a right result. Haven’t had to pay any import duties! (So far).

I'm of an age where there has to be night and day contrast between the hands and the background. I'd have real trouble with that. @MarkMas 's new Bell & Ross is more to my liking from a usability point of view, but personally prefer a round case which they don't do. Was it them or someone else also echoing the station clock look?

You mean like my Omega when the battery runs low, it ticks in 4 second increments

Nah. Quite a lot of watches do that. Much more fun.....

<wiki>
The station clocks in Switzerland are synchronized by receiving an electrical impulse from a central master clock at each full minute, advancing the minute hand by one minute. The second hand is driven by an electrical motor independent of the master clock. It takes only about 58.5 seconds to circle the face; then the hand pauses briefly at the top of the clock. It starts a new rotation as soon as it receives the next minute impulse from the master clock.[3] This movement is emulated in some of the licensed timepieces made by Mondaine.

And I appear to have answered my own question as well!
