Love an XJ-C
Are they expensive to keep going?
It wasn't for me looking after my own being a mechanic makes it easier.
Parts plentiful and not expensive in my opinion.
If you have to pay a specialist garage like anything can cost £££
Fuel was my biggest cost but so enjoyable and full of style.

Ooh almost forgot about this. Could be nice day out. Anyone fancy an informal car meet?

what a great idea and i was going to go tomorrow until my eldest asked if i could go and check an Audi Q3 she wants to buy and put a deposit on, so i have a at least a 3 hour round trip tomorrow :(

ahh the sensible one of your family :)
My daughter bought sweet little Audi in python yellow with black roof. Very sensible for her and the dog at her new house.
Lasted until lockdown when it was sent back. Now she is running Abarth competizione. :D.

How long have u had theses urges?
wjhewnever I feel like a cock I just visit the en-suite and peek at my own. Don't let anyone shame you! Drive the car anyway.
I have hair like Bill Bailey (when he was bit younger) and ponce around in Mx-5 most days. Might even start carry scissors and clippers in case anybody asks the question.

the dog or the car, abarth 500 ?
dog is a keeper, the car was 'too boring', the house is a stepping stone.
to be fair She wanted the Abarth 595C from the start. The Audi was a great lease deal and fixed cost which suited early years having mortgage. Lockdown induced the 'life too short to drive a shopping car" decision. Wholly independent choice, but have to say I am quietly pleased of course.

which audi was it, cant see why she wants a Q3, no kids yet and has a perfectly good skoda fabia from new, Abarth 595c sounds nice but are they not fairly pricey for what they are ?
