I also saw the breakdown in Sweden the other day, 10,000 odd dead. 60 years old and under accounted for around 370 of those 10,000. They really buggered up with old folks homes.

And I live in a county of 100,000 people. Our first allocation of vaccinations was 120 doses. The EU have fooked up big time. They might approve the Astra/Oxford vaccine in the next week. I hope that isn’t politically motivated, the time it’s taken.

So here in France on these news the R is 1.2 what is it in the UK ?
I remember not so long ago that we can't let it go over 1.
Certainly starting to here of more and more people that are testing positive that's for sure.

This looks better

Coronavirus: UK R number 'between 0.8 and 1'

Totally agree, £10k each, if can’t pay, seize their assets, and if any of them have covid, no treatment, in fact just line them up and Bren gun em all.....
Bad week...
I don’t understand the mentality of people who attended and I don’t understand why they didn’t all get fined £200 (soon to be £800) venue and organisers £10k.
A better punishment would be make them observe ICH for 12 hours

So about £25 per guest... if they club together to pay the fines...what deterrent!

That's what I don't get , caught at a party, go home ,

2 women out walking 5 miles from home, 2m apart with a coffee £200 fine each , now canceled

I guess so but they should have been able to do better that 6/400

I wouldn't argue particularly strenuously. However I don't think this was a 'raid' as such. Couple of coppers hear some music? I dunno. A security guard also says that it was more like 100 people <shrug>

Just watching the news and hearing that the police broke up a wedding party in North London last night 400 people attending !!
They issued half a dozen £200 fines with the organisers facing the £10k fine.
I would have their mug shots on the front of every news paper under the heading “STUPID”

This is just unbelievable and sad.
I assume being a wedding party a large proportion of older adults.
How can they think the rules don't apply to them?

Could be worse, Canada still haven't approved the Oxford AZ vaccine yet and they aren't due to get their Pfizer vaccine until April!. Like watching Rome burn!
Good job UKG have got on top of this issue...so far.
