My Levante is coming up for the end of warranty and I had a little fault display on the MTC+ so I called them to see if I could get it booked in to be looked at. This was on Saturday. Initial impressions are this is definitely going down in the world.
Negative points so far:
- The phone number for service on the website is the wrong one, it still goes to Leeds. If you ring it they give you the number listed for sales on the website.
- The auto answer, no more speaking to the nice ladies on the desk in the dealership, advertises itself as 'JCT600 BMW Premium Collection' which caused me to check the number again.
- The person dealing with Maserati doesn't work at the weekend.
- They only have two technicians and neither of them were available either.
- I booked the car in, with a courtesy car, and there is now a £30 charge for their insurance. This is on top of a £360 pre-warranty inspection.
It seems that we've been shuffled off to be an off-shoot of BMW/Mini in Bradford, perhaps that's what the sales merit. It doesn't feel like the sort of experience I'd expect buying a £90k specced car though.
If there was any other option local I think I'd be looking at it. As it is I think I'm stuck for the moment.
