JCT Leeds Changes

Not great to hear that. Regardless of sales volumes they should be a professional outfit. Been hard work a lot of the time I’ve dealt with them.

They were convenient for me at at hour away, my 11 year old GTS is full Maserati service history but looking like that may change then.

I have two options, Edinburgh is doable on my travels. Or Marios. I’d use Marios in a heartbeat but is other side of the country to me but it’s only every other year so sure I could manage to chew on.

My Levante is coming up for the end of warranty and I had a little fault display on the MTC+ so I called them to see if I could get it booked in to be looked at. This was on Saturday. Initial impressions are this is definitely going down in the world.

Negative points so far:
  • The phone number for service on the website is the wrong one, it still goes to Leeds. If you ring it they give you the number listed for sales on the website.
  • The auto answer, no more speaking to the nice ladies on the desk in the dealership, advertises itself as 'JCT600 BMW Premium Collection' which caused me to check the number again.
  • The person dealing with Maserati doesn't work at the weekend.
  • They only have two technicians and neither of them were available either.
  • I booked the car in, with a courtesy car, and there is now a £30 charge for their insurance. This is on top of a £360 pre-warranty inspection.
It seems that we've been shuffled off to be an off-shoot of BMW/Mini in Bradford, perhaps that's what the sales merit. It doesn't feel like the sort of experience I'd expect buying a £90k specced car though.

If there was any other option local I think I'd be looking at it. As it is I think I'm stuck for the moment.

That’s not the experience I’d expect from buying any car..

I wouldn't say it's necessarily a JCT/Maserati problem. I've recently received emails from Dick Lovett (Ferrari) inviting me to contact them 'on the number below' - and it's unobtainable. Likewise, I wanted to speak to customer support folk at VAX UK and their published number is also unobtainable.

Cockups happen in the best run companies, but I suspect that Covid is going to be blamed for a lot of the current ones.

Can't believe your Levante is nearly 3 years old!!

JCT have opened a Ferrari dealer / service in Newcastle.. at the Silverlink roundabout. Not sure if they are doing Maser aswell but judging by splitting them out of most places I would guess not.

I’m in the same boat, my Levante is nearly 3 years beginning of next year , always dealt with GP Nottingham but the guy I normally deal with must be on furlough and im not getting the service I expect spending £100k + so thinking other options

I didn't realise inflation was so rampant. Booked mine in for a very expensive service and the courtesy car charge is now £50!

Well it’s hardly “courtesy” now is it? As a lawyer, I’d ask them to change the description to “hire car” as that’s what it is ;-)

I get a S Class MB delivered to my door for a day for less than that via my corporate rate with Enterprise.
