No doubt it is spreading and will continue to do so, with potentially disastrous results. So governments are correct to respond now and try to contain it and slow down its spread. As for members of the public panic buying and the tabloids and their coverage, lets just say I don't have time for any of that nonsense yet. Sure its best for us to take reasonable precautions but realistically there is absolutely no need to panic over anything yet. We simply have to wait and see how it progresses and go from there. There are no truly reliable figures and we all know statistics can be spun in any way that suits the person stating them anyway.

In any case, panicking will not prevent its spread or help anyone if and when it reaches the levels the authorities claim it may do later in the year.

I’m a little fed up of all this panic talk.
It’s blatantly obvious that things are going to get a lot lot worse, indeed a Dr on here says the figures are inaccurate. Ergo, the Govt strategy is based on inaccurate figures which hence will make any response woefully inadequate.
I’m prepared, there was no panic.
Anyone who isn’t prepared along with their family will end up panicking down at their local supermarket at some point -when there’s nothing left on the shelves....and I’ll be laughing my nuts off.

Never been a fan of the phrase 'At the crack of Dawn' either as that is my sisters name. Just sounds weird!

Well, I did do quite a light of early spring-pruning in the garden last weekend. You wouldn’t be entirely wrong. However, I’m pleased to report that my own hedge is neither hysterical nor biased.

Just checked in on my pension pot.
Down £1500; in a week....
And the options are to move it from equities to err equities as far as I can make out...
