No different to forging £20 notes really.

Well I have morals in the motor trade hence why I'm not wealthy. And your point is?
Welcome to C21 chap......
Although inherently a £20 has a value (of £20). The value of a duplicate dealer stamp is:
a) A lot less
b) Almost, if not completely, impossible to calculate...

Asia/China? ..if you can duplicate a Rolex you can easily cut some rubber for a stampHow do the EBay sellers get those stamps ???

This probably summed it all up !Add value - No
Easier to sell - Yes
Well, talking about a stradale, I am inclined to take it to main dealer although they don't necessary do a better job than a good independent !If your buyer insists on service history, then it is of value...
Main dealer service history isnt necessarily better than an indy service.
Id not put it past main dealers to skim on the work whilst charging for items in order to disguise the omission Im afraid...
Overall, its not a simple question and revolves around the marque, the car's age & the level of service involved.
The condition of the vehicle, and proof thereof. Weigh that against the costs and I guess you're heading in the right direction...?
Well, comes down to one's integrity I guess. It isn't hard to fake a service history really in the grand scheme of things. I obviously have never and would never do so. Also I cannot condone it in any shape or form.
I've always worked hard to try to find or obtain any holes or missing evidence of history in any car I've ever bought/owned/sold. Often a few calls or some digging and some emails can obtain some useful results.
Had mine serviced there today. Top honest guy and very informative. Service book stamped and an invoice to match.I agree, but think that the known reputation of the indie makes a big difference as well. My services are carried out by local indie located in Chorlton Cum Hardy near Manchester. I’m sure most people in the know would be happy with a service stamp with Marios name on it, it’s all down to reputation of the indie. The same applies to other indies throughout the Uk.
