Another scam......Protected no claims bonus is a scam to make more money for insurance companies.

You are incorrect - or are you an insurance broker? My specialist broker told me had I stuck with a good company such as LV who I hzve used, the outcome was likely to have been the same - they are volume companies off comparison sites and very quick to write off on grounds of uneconomic repair. So using a company that underwrites its policy or uses a third party underwriter such as Aegeas is just unwilling to repair a car if it deems it uneconomical (a significant 50% of mkt value or exceeds mkt value). I would never insure the Turbo or GS through anyone other than a specialist with agreed value policies and own choice of repairer."The Nissan Micra insurer - some budget policy underwritten by Aegeas"
You appear to have paid your money and taken your chances. Needamaser, imho, is spot on in his comments.
Not in the least. I have used the same specialist broker for more than 7 years. You are stunningly miles adrift - over the Sahara under the illusion you are over the Atlantic - but neither an ocean or a desert has buildings further stimulating the illusion. Is there a feint possibility your broker, rather than enter into protected discussions, is simply telling you what you want to hear.
They can penalise you even if they were not involved in any way settling or negotiating the settlement with the other party.Don't make a claim on your insurance, don't even ask them to be involved or you will pay the price on renewal, just tell them you are informing them of the accident. Deal with the other parties insurer direct and insist the car is repaired at a company of your choosing.
3 accidents in 8 months is no accident despite you not being at fault, maybe you would benefit from some defensive driving tuitionThey can penalise you even if they were not involved in any way settling or negotiating the settlement with the other party.
In fact a few years back Direct Line refused to even quote after I had 3 x no fault accidents within 8 months, in all three accidents I dealt direct with the other parties insurance and may insurance we’re i my told when I needed to declare it at renewal.
Blimey, judge and jury.....do you work for a Motor Insurance Co?3 accidents in 8 months is no accident despite you not being at fault, maybe you would benefit from some defensive driving tuition
Not at all, I was merely suggesting that 3 no fault accidents in 8 months may be more than just bad luck and that the poster might benefit from a little more defensive driving style. It may be pure bad luck as I don't know the circumstances of the accidents but at least my comments might be a little thought provoking.Blimey, judge and jury.....do you work for a Motor Insurance Co?
Yeah - they were all my fault really3 accidents in 8 months is no accident despite you not being at fault, maybe you would benefit from some defensive driving tuition
In most cases even if you are the innocent party your premium will increase because there has been an incident. Not fair, but it is a fact. Even if your car is parked and unattended it will go up.
Did my post provoke any thoughts other than sarcasm? That was meant to be my reason for posting, not in any way did I intend to suggest the accidents were in actuality purely your fault.Yeah - they were all my fault really

Bluntly I think most of us benefit from additional driver training, defensive or otherwise

Maybe those who were actually at fault with regard to Scaf’s accidents should have had the defensive driving Tuition. On two occasions have been stopped at traffic lights and rear ended by another driver, no amount of defensive driving tuition on my part would have stopped that happening, therefore to infer that the innocent party would benefit from such training is a bit unfair. The bottom line is that these days the standard of driving has deteriorated, for what ever reason. Every day you find yourself anticipating what that other idiot is going to do next. But there are some instances over which you have no control, defensive driver training or not.3 accidents in 8 months is no accident despite you not being at fault, maybe you would benefit from some defensive driving tuition
This guy could do with some driver training, all these incidents and the same driverBluntly I think most of us benefit from additional driver training, defensive or otherwise
