Ferrari - is it just me?

Similar for me - would dearly love an Espada or a Urraco, wouldn't mind a Jarama or Islero either given half a chance (The Miura is way out of reach and the asking prices of LP400s aren't that far behind). I drive past Lamborghini B'ham quite often, look in the window and think 'hmmm, still not sure about the Huracan' but there's something about the back end of the Murcielago which I do like, it seems to hit the right spot somehow.

Looking along my bookshelves all of the Ferrari books are of the '50s, '60s and '70s era, I could pine for Dinos, 275s, 250 Lussos, GTEs and the 330 series etc all day long, I'm drawn to the 308GT4 which baffles some of my mates and the F355 belonging to the bloke who cuts what's left of my hair looks gorgeous when I see it at the local MOT station, but anything after the 360 leaves me slightly cold, can't put my finger on it really.

I should say I've never driven any of the above so my yearnings are based solely on sight, sound and their place in history - I've still not driven a Maser yet either but long to own one.
308 GT4's are nice cars and drive lots better than the earlier 246 Dino's!

When I lived in West London in the early '80s I used to walk past one on the way to work, an early Dino badged one in silver with a red interior, it looked fantastic and I've always loved the compact shape and styling. All of the period reviews say exactly the same as you, it drives much better than the 246. I sometimes wonder if some of the snobbery (perceived or real) towards them is based on the knowledge that it came from a rejected proposal for the Lamborghini Urraco, where Gandini dusted it off the shelf at Bertone, did some tweaking and came up with something completely different to the curvy and much loved 246.
