My 2006 QV5 is opened and contents are stolen about once a year. I don't leave anything very valuable inside, but having sunglasses and prescription glasses stolen every time is annoying. I live about 400 m from where I park the car on the street so I don't think it's someone using a fob relay box over this range. The driver door is always left partly closed (on the 1st latch) so I know that I need to relock and re-alarm the car, oh and buy new glasses x2. There is no damage to the car.
I notice a keyhole/lock on the boot, next to the opening latch. Does this mean that I can deadlock the boot and keep any contents safe from the thief?
