So far, going into this space are the GranCabrio MC, Venturi Atlantique, Citroen SM and the Porsche 944, as these are already stored elsewhere as the garages at home are full. It’s likely that the F400i and F550M might move to here also. But this still leaves me with some space to fill with new toys.

Thoughts so far are (one of): F Testarossa, 328GTB or 360 manual. Late Lotus Esprit GT3 or V8. Lambo Jalpa or Uracco. Late Aston DB9. Maser Shamal (again), QP IV (again), mk2 Ghibli GT (again) or Stradale. Porsche 911 (which, frankly, could be virtually any model of the past 40 years, other than the 996 with its horrid plastic interior). New Alpine A110. Alfa 4C. Caterham.

See the new Alpine came 2nd in EVO car of the year. Seems like they have got that just right. Beating the Ferrari Pista which came a lowely 6th out of 8. They were very kind about it.

I loved the Esprit GT3 .... My friend had one and it was such a beautifully balanced Esprit...most were mind you. Not seen one for sale for years and years though Ewan. Pretty rare these days.

There were 2 GT3s for sale earlier in the year, a silver one and an orange one, my dream car since I was kid, it was what I was going to buy. Then I drove one. Clutch and gearchange were hideous, really upset.

The new Alpine is one of the few new cars I’d buy (and could afford), with the cheaper Gotti lookalike wheels and some stickers. There was a be-stickered orange one on the press launch.

Certainly would had a customer with one in NZ.

funny how the dino was not a true "Ferrari" to the elite owners in the day and looked upon as a poor mans car and Enzo refused to call it a ferrari, it's now up there with the best of them price wise, gorgeous shape

The gearbox on most manual Esprits weren't great...Think it was an old Renault unit...Or it was on my 1989 Esprit Turbo. Still a very engaging drive though.

The exhaust chap by me has one of the new Alpines in his workshop... it is rather nice...

But for me, would be the testarossa, poster car of mine having grown up with outrun!
Love an esprit too... but the mk1 the proportions and tall sidewall, ballony tyres is just cool!

Once sat in a Testarossa, had to leave my head outside.

the upside to Brexit might help my own V12 ambitions, for the 456. the 550m you have is on my lit too, but the pop-up headlights appeal to me, the the discount applied to four seat F-cars.
On your shopping list I am intrigued by the new A110, after a tame test ride from dealer driver at the NEC recently.

I know of a Ghibli Open Cup for sale.
It's up for about €125k though.

Wrong price. The last Open Cup to appear at auction made around £40k.

And you can buy a recent GT Trofeo for £80k. So to ask six figures for a Ghibli is plain bonkers.

Exactly what I thought when he quoted me.
But he is in Norway.

By the way Mark, there is a very nice mk2 Ghibli for sale on Car and Classics website. It’s a dark green GT version, tan interior, auto. About 50k miles and good history. Asking about £17,500. Good ones are increasingly hard to find.

It’s something to do with a TV resto show according to the ad. Think it’s dropped £1000 in the last couple of months.
