Loved that car, but for what it cost, I reckon I could run a GS!

very nice car Woody, love the E46, how come it was so expensive to run?
Probably because I used main agents and also chuffed for the warranty!. the first service I got done (at the main agent in Wilmslow) was an oil change - its cost me £892! An annual for a GS is c£700 at an Indi.

Brakes were on a par with the GS too. A large service was £1200 or something.......certainly not cheap motoring. Cracking car though.

Andy, that CSL looks superb! They've held their value like nothing else.

that is crazy price woody, i think if you had used the other Beemer dealers such as the one in Crewe, you may not have been ripped off, i dont know where they get 892 quid for an oil change, ridiculous.

Tell me about it! I kid you not, they didnt even wash it! When I rang and pointed this out, the guy said "go and get it washed and send us the reciept - £5 or so will be fine". LOL! Cheers big spuds. I wrote to BMW UK about it I was that apalled - never heard a thing back!

I used three different dealers....no, four. The last one was good, but was based about 100 miles from me!

That is shocking, BMW have always been quite poor when it comes to customer service, when we had a 330 sport convetible E46, took the car in for a major service and as it was my mums car, she needed a courtesy car for the day, they said the couldn't lend us a BMW so it would have to be a Mini, when we got there, there was a ford KA waiting for us.

Northing wrong with a Mini Adam! ;)

Yeah, thats not good. I had a 330d when my M3 was in once and I rang to say "can I bring it in Sat am instead of Fri pm...I work in London and returning for 6.30 Fri means the afternoon off" - they'd done a LOT of work on the car. Reply? "No, the salesman wants it back friday, sorry". Unbelievable attitude. The last place I used gave me a 330d for something like 4 weeks while the front calliper was on back-order. Never heard a peep out of them!
