Avorio is Italian for Ivory.
Funnily enough I tell people it's Italian for "bl00dy hard to keep clean"

Funnily enough that's why I am asking. I love the look but it is high maintenance. I am going for some gliptone products as they seem to be recommended on the forum.

yes - I had Avorio in my red 4200. And yes, it needed constant maintenance. However, it certainly makes the cabin a nice place to be. I used Gliptone products to keep mine fresh.

There is also cuoio which is darker than avorio, more tan but it's also fairly light.

Yep, two Cuoio colours...Standard cuoio and cuoio stella....One lighter than the other....The darker one is almost an orange sort of biscuit colour..Cannot remember which one is darker but think its the cuoio stella..

After thoroughly cleaning the avorio leather in my Gransport, I treated it with Gtechniq Leather Guard. This puts a protection layer on the leather that is said to resist abrasion, staining and dye transfer. I'm impressed with the results so far. Certainly haven't experinced any dye transfer from jeans. And it provides a really nice matt finish to the leather.

Steam is a really effective and quick way to clean the seats.

Get yourself one of those cheap steam buggy things, the brush attachment and some clean towels. The steam also removes creases.

Finish with Gliptone conditioner and massage in with your hands.

Have a Karcher steam cleaner, will have a go on the daily ride leather seats first!
