Driven both Enzo, and very nearlt bought a 2001 550 with the handling pack a couple of years back , it was a very mild cat d ( but thats me ) went for 18K only 15k genuine miles , but as you know im a converted flappy paddle man , and manual boxes are fine for short runs , so for me it would have to be the 575 ,and a bonus to get one with the handling pack

regards loz

Hello Loz,
I too am a converted flappy paddle man...but having done my homework, if I get one (and it is a big IF),
I will go for the 550, even though there are very few with the handling pack (From what I have read, the 575 benefits more from having this upgrade anyway.)
Regards,
Enzo.

i know, you will be lucky to get a yellow one, i think red with cream is the best, looks great on a 550, there was a red one for sale not far from me, was going to go and look at it just as you started this thread but it had sold for 50K, only done 7K miles.

Verdi have a red with tan one...24k miles, LHD, up for 50K...

I have also seen a nice Blue with beige (where have I seen that combo before?), and an unusual Green with tan...

Green with Tan, saw one at the Ferrari concourse this year, looked nice but dont think i could cope with it everyday, This is a nice one, plain exterior but the seller has a very good reputation.

http://pistonheads.com/sales/1932175.htm

Agree, the green looks unusual, but not to my liking (in the picture...not sure what it would be like up close)...

The NC one looks good (nice combo of silver and bordeux), but It's a little early, will try to avoid '97 & '98 cars...

Yes, I know, should be based on condition/history/blah blah...

age wouldn't concern me to be honest, i think mileage and history/condition is more important, but a later car is better as some of the faults in early cars should have been addressed.

Black with cream leather is my favourite , the standard wheels now look very dated , but easily sorted with some decent expensive after market ones , there's a lot more variety for fezza's on the market , Massers wierd fitment really reduces the choice out there

Ferrari's and aftermarket rims, to me a HUGE no no, the standard items are still lovely, one guy had his refurbed on a 550 at the specialist where i worked, they looked mint.

Black with cream would be nice...
agree wheels look very dated, but there is something quite nice about them...and they are magnesium.

Enzo.

With you on that Loz..the wheels look dated and too small....They don't seem to fill the arches...Agree Adam the wheels need to have the Ferrari look so an upgrade to a later Ferrari wheel could be the option.
