Depending on where in the season it could be De Crasharis or Streiff. He looks tall so could be the latter.
Lafitte preferred No.26 and there were a few who drove the 25 Ligier. I thought it was earlier than De Cesaris who drove in the turbo era. So Depiller, Icyx, Jarier, Tambay, Jabouille or Eddie Cheever. Closer inspection suggests 856 so likely Strief or Arnoux.

Apparently shot in '86 by Helmut Newton in Monaco. Looks like '85 livery so perhaps a spare.

I used to like it when teams had consecutive numbers , 1 and 2 for the world champion and his team mate, 3&4 for Tyrrell etc Red 5 for our Nige in a Williams, 27/28 for Ferrari etc...

That was a very entertaining F1 weekend, even though the winner was never in question. Alonso is a racer’s racer to the end, Max breaking more records and nearly number 3 in all time wins, we are witnessing something special that will be talked about for years to come. Well done to young Dan for climbing up the ranks and now challenging for #1 in the league! My last minute change to Ricciardo didn’t do me any favours but then again it was a bit of a lottery this weekend. Just 2 more to go and all to play for.

I had a Merc weekend...going to give myself a good debrief....

Happy for Lando, slowly climbing the rankings, he's 5th and only a few points behind a double world champ and 31 behind a 7 time champ.

This Motorsport article is quite an eye-opener compared to where we are now - the 1979 Argentine GP, first of the season. Including a first lap crash sending young Nelson Piquet to hospita with a broken bone in his foot - a bit of a miracle if you see the damaged car and the total lack of safety in those days.

Well done Dan. Taking the lead with one race to go and only 4 points in it. Keeping up the Keedwell name my boy.

A good race lots of overtaking with different strategies, not so good for points scoring but one race left in the league and its a lot closer than the either drivers or manufacturers championship

The last one after an interesting and record breaking season. And for the league all to play for, Dan sneaked in front of me so I’ll have to do a LeClerc/Alonso style last lap overtake. Good to know the two of us left the rest behind though ;) may the best man win!

I know there are some Max fans on here but that over taking manoeuvre in the Marina pit lane tunnel was just fecking stupid. He might have a lot of driving skill but he is still an arrogant, self centred pr1ck in my view.

Rant over

Yeah but just cool it on the judgemental language, it is totally unnecessary. Did you notice Lewis spoiling his lap subsequently? Getting out slow when there is hardly any time left gave him every right to overtake, you do know there are new rules since Mexico re this? In my view Lewis was the one playing games, like he has been doing all weekend. I guess if you’re frustrated with a slow car there is not much you can do. I’ll refrain from calling him names though.

As far as i am aware the rule change for Mexico was specifically for the unique design of that circuit, a long pit lane with plenty of room for cars to pass safely, it should not be applied to a cramp narrow tunnel where there is little access for help should an accident happen.

As far name calling, we are judged by our actions and how people perceive them, if you want to be perceived differently act differently

Nail on the head there Andy. Brillaint driver he may be but is also the biggest cock nostril we have seen in F1 for many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many years :). But then some of this has to do with how he has been treated by his father who if you believe the stuff that has come out about him he is not a very nice person.

Ah well onto the last race which I am sure he will win even if he doesn’t get pole today. That is how it is at the moment but there is always next year that let’s hope will balance some of this up.

The tunnel has enough space for cars to overtake if they keep to the side. Perception is a personal, subjective thing, not an absolute. Perception: A way of understanding or interpreting things. Reality: The state of things as they actually exist, rather than as they may be perceived or might be imagined ;)

And another judgemental post based on perception. You couldn’t resist the temptation I guess.
