Thanks - great to meet you all!
Yes, looking at the petrol V6 for greater range for weekend trips (though I’m sure the 3.8 V8 flies!).
The V6 has got to be more efficient than the V8 Jaguar it will replace…
I drove a Ghibli V6 last weekend and really liked it, however the family would like more interior space hence looking at a QP.
Buying tips appreciated!
Just be aware that parking a QPVI must be something of a challenge. The Ghibli feels like a return to the old days of Alfas with the turning circle of a super tanker.
I very much like mine now. I took @conaero's advice when looking, and snagged my S. I can still imagine that the standard is pretty good.
I still think that Masers don't get the recognition they deserve, which is probably why I've been able to afford them.
And this I am not going to complain about. It's nice when people do call you out "Is that a Maserati" (people everywhere) or "Love your car' (random delivery drivers) or "What is that!?" (bloke at the local recycling depot as I was dropping some stuff off in my GT. Had to give him his tongue back)
But it's not about all of that. I love my car, I love what it does and the relationship we have. I also am rather fond of the community (with a few notable exceptions, @Felonious Crud ) Makes me feel a way no other car (apart from the Alfas 20 years back, perhaps) do...
