Remember this being for sale just before I bought my second 4200 which had the same trim and paint...looks wonderful in the sun. Its Emblem maintained as well so should be in tip top condition.

It's been sort of semi for sale for 3 years by the look of it.
Makes one wonder if he really wants to sell.

I haven't been able to sign into the MAserati forum for sometime as I have forgotten my pass word...Everytime I ask for another they say they have sent me one but it never turns up so I have given up. Do they have anyone that looks after the site these days.

It worked for me - first they send a link so you follow back to the website, that confirms you have access to the email you are using then they send the reset password which I have not yet worked out how to change.
Update is I have not had a mail back from the owner - not even a thanks - no thanks - or kiss my A~#E.
Maybe will reply today but he was online all last night.
Like I said - not sure he is committed to selling..

Looks a perfect buy to me.
He's had it over 3 years at least, if you look at the sellers profile he is retired which stacks up with the low mileage, garaged, no winter use.
A dealer will be giving him a call, mark my words!
If you like the GS looks, just add the GS surf boards it has nearly everything else.
BUY IT!!

I won't jump in if Dave or Mark (Geoff Capes) are going to buy it. I offered last time it was for sale and he declined what I thought was a very good offer. I'd happily buy it today but won't do so til you two have declared 'I'm out'.

Dicky - The seller (Richard) has not had the "grace" ( see what I did there!!!) to reply to my pm. I did make an offer and explained my situation, i.e. keen to do a deal etc but I only have the coming weekend to get things sorted.
As I go to Goa on the 5th Feb ( I might have mentioned that a few times-lol)
Not given up on the Blue GS yet - was expecting a phone call from "sniper" but not come back to me.
I said to Geoff last night - all's fair in love and war - I appreciate that you would let us have first dibs (as I guess this is "part" of your living)
True gent ( and definitely a refreshing change to usual car dealers)
If you get any mileage - go for it I say.
Dave

I'll give it a couple of days and see where we are at.

okey dokey - if I don't here anything by Wednesday I wont be going as I would rather travel from Morecambe Friday than from here Saturday!

See how it goes - will keep you in the loop.

Not unusual.
A good friend of mine has a lovely V12 DB7 in the same position.
He doesn't need to sell, but would like to change it for a DB9.

Shame he hasn't posted a telephone number.
Many aren't online/check email/PM's frequently, especially if they don't use a smartphone.

Dave/Mark, you couldn't ask anymore.

If you buy it Richard I may be interested in doing a deal with my GS.

Same colour combination as your previous facelift 4200 isn't it?
I'm sure you have said before that you personally preferred the 4200 over the GS having now owned one.

Well, I made an offer - I did not say it was my max - but the least I expected was,

"Thank you for your interest - but you need to do better"

Lets see what unfolds - if nothing I will head off to Goa - not look at this site or all the other s for 2 weeks and hopefully come back to a smorgasbord of opportunities.

Ever the optimist..

Indeed. ..the 4200 is a more usable car as a GT as I find the GS is trying too hard to be a sports car for which it has two seats too many. Dont get me wrong it is a nice car and I enjoy the ownership...but it is my third now and it may be that I am tiring of all the silly issues, costs, and other related expenses that comes with the brand...or even I am falling out of love (done that lets try something different) 8 years with Maserati this year.

It certainly can be frustrating.
There were a few cars that I wanted to buy before buying mine, only to discover 'sold' when they eventually replied.
When mine came up for sale in a crappy advert with rubbish pictures, not in the usual 'more specialist' places, i jumped in my car straight away to have a look, and was rewarded thankfully.

I can understand this.
Had 8 years with Lotus.
Difficult to think what would give you the same (but different brand) for similar money though that is not mainstream.
