Wouldnt the fact of the steering doesnt go lock to lock without snagging be an MOT failure ?

I know if any part of the steering linkage snags it is a fail.
Don't worry it has probably had another chunk cut out with a reciprocal saw.

I may have answered my own question.

From the uk.gov mot website.
"
A vehicle should only be rejected if the tyre is fouling a part of the vehicle at the time of test.

Some vehicles have lock stops comprising rubbing pads on the body that the front tyres may contact on a full lock. These are acceptable if they are properly maintained so that they do not damage the tyres."

So unless he fits lock stops it will be a fail.

Apart from it being totally impractical (which I'm sure he will sort out) and all the cutting looked rough, I'm gonna be brave and say...

I like it! I think it looks mean as F***. Also I think the colour works, as it manages to make the LW not look too in your face.

Good on him.
And you need people like him to spread the word. How many young 'youtubers' never even heard of a Granturismo until he got one? Plenty I would bet.

Just a shame it's not a 4.7

"Sometimes, when I just stop and I take a look and I just can't believe it."

I know exactly how he feels. I admit, I'm being judgemental, but I don't care. And neither does he.
To me. This is a perfect example of the concept of, just because you can do something. Doesn't mean
you should do something. What I can't believe is the arrogance of someone with extremely doubtful
personal grooming, believing that he can improve on what one of the premier design houses in the world
produced. Most of what he criticised as poor build quality, was a complete lack of care by a previous owner.
400 hp isn't enough? Well, we don't have autobahns, so his crying is just posing.
There is or was a place for cars like this, which have endured the ham fisted, back street surgery of the blind
and that's Southend-on-Sea. So named, to help the illiterate who couldn't read maps to find it.
As for Liberty Walk, who I'd been lucky enough not to have heard of until this point (thanks). Neither they nor 'he' seem capable of an original thought and only seem capable of recycling South Beach 80's hack jobs.
Where is the skill in that.
Or, am I missing the point entirely? Perhaps, he's aiming to become the Sacha Baron Cohen of car mod YouTube videos. In which case, the joke's on me.

This is now in a raffle, for anyone interested. ;) £15 and you get to choose between his LW GT or his LW Mustang.

Why wouldn't you pay £15 for the chance to really annoy the haters? I actually like both cars (less so the Mustang wheels), but think the sticking with the original GT colour with gold wheels looks great.

I did, £30 actually. ;) Would be torn if I won, and would probably end up with the mustang, as I have a 4.7MC so wouldn't want a 4.2 Auto. Although, it'd probably be the wife's car anyway lol

I find his channel interesting to watch.
The liberty walk kits are for me a bit too far, 90's Max Power Pug 205, and I prefer the Mustang with the kit personally.
Interesting what he is doing to the M140i.
Fitting the M2 front and rear hopefully will look ace, and a modern take on the Z3M. Just a pity not the 3 door.

Wow how good is the underside of that GT.
Still needs a wire brush and treating though.
Will it pass the MOT emissions being such a known car ???

sounded pretty good!
But you have to be some talented mechanic to make a maserati sound worse.

Why would you cut out the cat inners 2 weeks before the mot?

Oh it's ok, he has the limited back to the future edition looking at the mot mileage history

Regarding the accident. I reckon the Maserati was trying to kill itself and end it's feelings of being in the deepest depths of the bottomless pit of excruciating shame, into which it has been thrown.
I bet it saw the kid get into the van. Then saw the van reversing. Weighed the probability that the kid wouldn't
have worked out what mirrors are for and threw itself in the van's path, hoping with all of it's broken Italian heart, to be written off and thus find an end to it's suffering.

I actually like the design of the wheels (not that ones that wide would fit) but never been a fan of tyre stretching. LW kits in my eyes work on drift cars but I guess that could be an age thing? I'm surprised rears on the GT aren't 21" from factory considering the amount of space left in the well.

Having checked, my BMW MOT history is:

2019: 46,597 miles
2020: 45,173 miles

I guess I should do something about it...

It would be interesting to know if this would be a red flag on a hpi report, if so, could be an issue when you sell.
