Excellent number-plate on the Lambo!

You were in excellent company there but from a looks point of view it's great to se the GTS more than holding its own. Very nice.

Nice pics and great write-up.

On the same page re: enjoying the Maser as a Grand Tourer rather than some bitumen burner, which it's clearly not, especially next to that esteemed company.

Heard and driven some of those models. I'd say on sounds and looks the Maser is still right up there.

I pulled up behind a California last weekend at a set of lights and I wanted to hear this car. So in to nutral and a little press in the faster pedal to get his attention that worked well. As the lights turned green he was of screeming that engine and I was surprised how I kept up with him or he didn't know how to drive his car. But I got wat I wanted and more. It was a beautiful sound until I rem I had my daughter next to me shouting dad stop. Ha ha if it was my younger one she would be shouting faster.

There's spirited driving and then there is stupidity.

Nice bunch of cars though.

Looks like a great run. I've frequented those petrol stations in the past :) some great roads up that way, and normally quiet. I'm sure you would get out of the GT a tad more relaxed than some in that company.

Looks like an interesting mix - I have the same feeling when the Leeds Supercar Meet goes out. That yellow McLaren was on our camp site in Le Mans with a few more stickers. Loved that they'd paid homage to the old F1s.

Recognise the Braemar filling station. I like you would not keep up largely due to liking my licence.

Hi Everyone

Thought I would share some photos from the run around Scotland me and a few guys had yesterday. This was my first proper supercar day trip and I was not sure what to expect.

Its fair to say that I was absolutely astonished and overwhelmed by how much right foot these guys were giving it. I knew they would be driving fast, but the extremes that they were taking it to were honestly unbelievable.

I was expecting to come home feeling inspired after spending the day with such an amazing group of cars, but to be honest it just scared the sh*t out of me and left me thinking what is the point! The risk / reward ratio of yesterdays shenanigans was just too much!

The Granturismo MC-Shift really was out of it depth when in such prestigious company. Being such a big car and more of a grand tourer, it just could not keep up on the twisty b roads. Even if the car could have kept up, I was just not willing to push on so hard.

All in all though it was an amazing opportunity to spend the day convoying with such an elite group of cars and one that I definitely wont forget, but not sure I will be repeating in a hurray. I think I will stick to my european tours and Sunday strolls!

Yup ditto everything everyone has said here.

A lot of people boast how they beat a so and so car. But the reality is they beat it on the road and not on a track. I never ever have given my car full beans on a public road and I never will. There are too many unknowns and you don't just put yourself in danger but the general public as well. Try it on a track and the outcome will not be the same. How people do not understand this is beyond me.

I was out in the Cotswolds this weekend driving loads of B-roads and whilst the GTS is a lovely car it is a grandtourer and too wide and too heavy and just not suited to the windy small roads. You just don't feel connected to the road enough and it does not give you enough confidence to really chuck it into the corners.

But i still had fun as I had to carry 4 people and multiple people stopped me tell me how beautiful the car sounded. A part from on guy who decided to pull next to me as I was parallel parking to call me a tw@t

I agree love the touring aspect of this car or the straight line noise, its not a car to hit twisty roads on but I still enjoy it. Some nice cars in that line up indeed, the first time since Ive had her I opened up and red lined it a few weeks back with a R8 up to 60 and we were like for like... except for the Italian gorgeous notes which were playing

Great photos. I've done a mini highlands run every year for the last 5 years starting on a Thursday morning we go right up to Durness and finish on the Sunday.

This is first year we haven't done it and I'm gutted. Once you get past Inverness or Ullapool the roads and scenery as far as I'm concerned are world class. Scottish highlands have it all
