Xcarlink and Becker Cascade

Evening all, i wondered if anyone has successfully fitted an xcarlink to a becker cascade? I've tried this afternoon, but the head unit doesn't recognise the ipod. The ipod is charging, so it's drawing power from the head unit but that's it. A full factory reset of the head unit made no difference. I wondered if there were any settings that need changing on the cascade- or should it just "see" the ipod when it's plugged in?

Cheers
John

John there is one fitted to my Gransport and it works just fine but it was fitted by the previous owner not me so I cant help much with technical stuff other than to say it works.

You may need to specify that an AUX source (Xcarlink) unit is connected instead of a CD changer.
1 Select External device in the system
settings.
2 Select between CD changer, Aux and
Externač hands-free off.

Thanks for the replies. I'm starting to think there may be a fault with the head unit. I've tried messing around with the sources, but it's just not picking the ipod up.

Thanks

John mine picks it up as auxilliary. Ie it reads auxilliary on the head unit when I'm using the ipod.
I've been meaning to play with it because it doesn't display track info when using the ipod but does when using the radio.
