G'day fellas, I hope you're all well.

I came across these yesterday and thought I would seek your collective opinion on them.

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Maserati-Coupe-4200-GT-M138-Catless-Exhaust-Manifold-RHS-J078/362574099644?_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=20160908105057&meid=77fa72d49d0a4d908ef39932ec6350c9&pid=100675&rk=2&rkt=15&sd=302603521439&itm=362574099644&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci:3c0a20b0-6bda-11e9-9530-74dbd180d604|parentrq:7213e0ac16a0a99bb5da3942fff0cfe0|iid:1

There a set for the LHS as well. Same price.

What difference do you think they might provide and would they be worth it? They seem pretty expensive to me but what would I know??

Any thoughts welcome.

I got shouted down on FB when I told that cats are in the headers for the US spec cars by some guy who went on to say he'd cut the cats out of his....
That is expensive. Compare it to Larini, who offer the same thing. Theirs will be Lariini design and execution but the principle is the same...remove stage 1 cats. Check if the sensor bungs are present- you'll need them !

I reckon you' should anticipate increased throttle response. And eliminating cats removes their predilection for failure..
Noise will be released, Im sure..not that Im speaking from experience..

If money's no object, I say do it !!

Not an easy swap tho' if I read correctly elsewhere you need to either drop/or jack up engine to swap them

Also of note...if these are standard pre- US spec items, and you want to supplant the US spec units currently fitted to your car ( I presume thats why you are thinking about it?) you'll find the stud configuration is different. Im guessing yours are a two stud flange layout...
Its not a simple swap Im afraid....
Cutting the cats out on your own US spec original pipes ( retaining o2 sensor bungs) may well be an easier option...!

Thanks very much for your feedback folks. They seem quite expensive too. I think I might leave them.
