Wireless charging pad for GTS

Hi All

I have the very nice Android Auto / Apple Carplay upgrade by Sports Italia. All working great but I wanted a neat solution for wireless charging of my phone.

I found this one on Amazon which I liked because it could be trimmed to fit in the small space between the gear leaver and infotainment dash. I didn't manage to cut it very well so might get another one (only £19.99). Even so, this is much better than having to plug my phone in - also stays put on the non-slip material and seems to charge at a decent rate too.

The specific item is a "Polmxs Wireless Car Charger". It has a fixed 1m cable and comes with a car lighter adapter (although I just found out there is a 30cm cable option which would be better). I managed to squeeze the excess cable into the tiny ashtray which of course doesn't get used. Also, for reference, I have a Samsung S21 (the regular sized one).

Hope this helps anyone else trying to find a decent solution to wireless charging as I didn't like the vent mounted or top of dash options.

It’s not a bad shout that. Been thinking of something along the same lines but I’d go for the smaller MagSafe option but I haven’t worked out where yet.

The other thought I had was mounting a charge port in the bottom of the cup holder, my 13Max grips nicely in there
