whilst the old girl is laid up over the winter I plan to do a few little jobs on her. there is some bubbling starting to show on the mirror mounts so intend to take these off, take back then recoat for next spring.
any advice on best place to source paint - found this site but would prefer a recommendation from anyone that has found and used a trusted source.

Greg, I believe that Maserati use PPG paints. I've heard of other paints not matching very well, so you may want to research whether you can get PPG in aerosol form.

Some auto paint suppliers will put multi-pack paints into an aerosol for you but as they are mixed (activated) you get a very short working time with them, from as little as a couple of hours to about two days. It is an eye watering £££ way to buy paint though!

Add to that; if you are buying a mix of PPC for your beloved, get a litre made up and ask them to activate a small amount in an aerosol for you, that way you can do your touch ups and then hand almost a litre to your bodyshop when the time comes... Don't forget your clear coat though!

There is a thread titled The A and B of pillar restoration in the gt / Qp section. I would copy the link but not sure how to do it on I phone.
