Windscreen repair

Have noticed a 2-3mm chip in the windscreen annoyingly just about level with the top of the steering wheel. Have a call out to insurers but does anyone have experience of a repair? Do they provide a solid fix at.....ahem.....higher speeds??

Cheers

I have a repaired chip on my QP screen
It is below eye level and does not fail an MOT because of this
The repair (done by not known) could have been better imho from an aesthetic point of view but there has not been a problem
with high speeds (still working through a speeding trap scenario)

I have had a chip repaired by Autoglass.
The repair is invisible and cost nothing.
Book appointment online.
They will call back to confirm and take care of contact with insurer.

Very odd outcome here. Bloke from National Windscreens has just turned up and told me that the chip has been repaired already! In the 15 months I've owned the car I must have washed that windscreen many times and not noticed. Can't really take that in to be honest. Anyway it's safe to keep driving and need to watch it.

Still can't believe it.....
