For some reason the drivers side window likes to just go up and down when it wants, seems to happen when I open and close the door. Is this a common problem and any easy fixes for this?

Hi, definitely worth getting a diagnostic scan tool on it if you can. Could it possibly be a problem with the window control module as in the example here?

I recently took mine out on the Quattroporte - not because it was faulty, but I wanted to remove the sticky plastic coating. On the Quattroporte the module itself looks like it can come apart in case it could be something like trapped moisture. Not sure about the unit on your model, though.

So it goes up and then down when you open the door? Just a little bit of describing the issue might help solving it

Yeah it only happens with opening and closing the door, i've cleaned the connection point on the door and it seems to have helped but not sure for how long it will last.

Its supposed to go down / dip by around 20mm when you pull the door handle and will stay dipped until the door closes. Its because the window is frameless and need to drop below the seal at the top of the door / roof.

Once the door is closed it will raise back up and into the seal channel.

If it is dropping more than 20 mm then the micro switch needs adjusting or changing.
