Window drops all the way down

More regularly now, when I open the drivers door, instead of dropping a little bit for the door open, the window winds all the way down and when closing the door, you have to push the button to wind all the way up again. Doesn’t do it on the passenger door. Any ideas?

Microswitches need replacing. It's a pretty common failure.

I agree - when you open the door the window automatically drops until one of the microswitches tells the mechanism that it has dropped the 5mm or so neccessary to drop the window past the door seal. Said microwitch has failed. The microwitch that tells it the bottom has been reached and it should stop works though!

Pretty obvious when you take the door card off, from memory. There were quite a lot of threads, back in the day. You shouldn't have too much trouble if you search the forum

One on the outside door handle, one in the inner doorhandle and one deep inside next to the regulator.

And don’t buy this Switches at Maserati.
They are from Burgess and cost much less than Maserati. Or even much cheaper to buy a quality after market piece. I still have some new ones.
