Age has got the better of the rubber straps that hold the wind deflector on my spyder in place - any ideas, other than cable ties, on how to replace would be gratefully received. Many thanks

You can buy OEM replacements, or at least I did, for a slightly painful price.

I did consider a fabric watch strap, or rather 4. They are called Zulu straps but search for military style fabric straps, like this one:

Might not be to your taste but I think would work.

Thanks both - I think size could be an issue although I'm not sure as I've got Mr RR on the case. But I was lucky as one deflector came adrift as blasting down a dual track - fortunately it landed in the car :) and then a careful exit was made as the other two collapsed.

I'm not exactly sure what you need, but velcro straps are very useful as all-purpose fixings, as they are very adjustable and then cinch up tightly.

Many thanks all - more welcome food for thought - MrRR has done a very tidy temporary fix with cable ties backed by felt as I'm taking part in the Drive it Day this weekend (but forecast is poor so roof may have to stay closed :( )
