I easily held my own in the unofficial rev off going out and think I've recruited a new member. Brilliant day! Wife even enjoyed it as well inc the rev off.

Well Maverick and I called it a day at around 10:30. The weather up till then was appalling, and we got fed up being wet all the time.

So we drove out at 10:30 and went home - naughty boys apparently - but hey.

However, we passed some nice material on the way to the venue, including Blondie plus a few others.

Met Charlie sparrow and his lady, and spotted Roger's GT with Italian stripes, but that was about it.

Some piccies anyway:

Nice cars. However, not sure about the red wheels on the BF GTS. I can see it matches the interior but still not sure.

The lime green Miura belongs to a lady who lives near me. As I was parking up tonight to pick up dinner a pale blue Jaguar XJ220 stopped to let me reverse into the space. He was being followed by the Miura - the lady waved (we've met before) and then gave it the beans as she pulled away - fantastic!

Wow. There's frequently a plumber's van and a Renault outside our nearest take-away in Grantham... Different world!

There are no take-aways near Geneva... However, everyone appears to have a Cayenne or 458.

Shame you left early because the sun came out in the early afternoon and it turned into a glorious day. One of the best events I've been to. Took part in the hill climb at Gurston in the morning and then drove in convoy through the villages to Wilton House. Loads of people lining the street along the route. It was so much fun waving and revving engines. And then to drive into the grounds with so many people there taking photos. I couldn't stop grinning (even though I looked like a tw*t with my GoPro attached to my head) haha. Can't wait to watch my video, it should be good for a laugh or two.

Impressive, Rob! You certainly were busy at Brunti so well done on having the energy to make Wilton House as well.

The event looks good, and the better to imagine it in the dry and with the sun out. I share others' thoughts on the GT in BF with the red wheels, though. Marmite, I'm sure.

Hi guys,

It was nice meeting you at Wilton House.

Although it rained most of the morning we managed to stay until 3pm, and when the sun came out it became a different event. Great collection of motors new and old, good food and all within the wonderful grounds of Wilton House.

Attached some photos of the car cleaned and prepped Saturday night, little did I know what was coming our way Sunday! We stayed at a a lovely BnB in UpAvon, approx 30 minutes drive from Wilton House. Highly recommended so private if interested.
