evening all!

can anyone recommend a wheel refurb company in London?
Ideally would be a mobile company with one of those vans who do everything on site.

thanks!! bosse

You won't get a proper job done by anyone with a mobile service. IIRC you are trying to get the car to concours spec - you will therefore need to have the job done properly. Lepsons or Pristine wheels seem to get the most accolades on here.

See my avatar, just had mine done at Lepsons, they picked up & drop them off. The courier picks up in Tuesday's, am very happy with the results. I looked at many other places but was impressed with their reviews. It definitely was worth the extra effort.

Lepsons are probably the best in the southeast. Many garages who offer this service actually just ship to Lepsons and add a mark up. Had a couple of the Merc wheels (which are made of cheese!) done after a few separate pothole incidents, with excellent results. One thing that they did which I don't think others would is refuse to repair a wheel that was too damaged (although not easily visible). Although they straighten bent wheels, this one was bent too far and the guy said that although most would attempt it and charge me, Lepsons know it will never be spot on and they will not do substandard repairs. I therefore scrapped the wheel.

I had mine done by a mobile guy a few years ago and wasn't impressed at all, they are a bit corroded now and certainly something I shall be addressing next winter.

Had mine powder coated look nice when standing back but close up some imperfections. Won't go go that route again.
And they are darker than the original color.

Wheelworks in Crawley gets my vote, which is fairly near to London.
If booked in advance they can turn 4 wheels round in one day.
