The Race for Space album is great . Some very catchy tunes on there .. And if you are interested in the moon landings very satisfying too.

You want to give steven wilson / porcupine tree / backfield a listen , he's in both bands plus a few others ,a vastly underrated musician who's written some beautiful songs and some a bit wierd in the early days of Ptree

Deadwing would be a good one to start on , lazarus is the stand out track for me on that album

Hand cannot erase is very good, home invasion / regret 9 , 6:30 on makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck , just spent £350 on a pair of headphones , worth every penny

Will do thanks, always looking for something new to listen to :)

On the headphone front, I was eyeing up a pair of Philips X2 Fidelios, but the wife wasn't keen on me dropping even £200 on headphones, so a pair of Creative Aurvana Live. Talk of more expensive headphones is very much banned in my house ;)

I went into richer sounds and listened to some, said my budget was £300 so he gave me some to try at £250 then £300 , Then a pair of OPPO PM3, at £350 SOLD :D it's a tried and tested tactic, I watched a guy in John lewis do the same with an ipod dock

Well sir we have this at £300 , yes that sounds good, then this at £350 , oh yes that's better, Then this B&W Zeppelin ,SOLD

works every time

....Then this B&W Zeppelin ,SOLD

A friend worked for B&W after Uni. He was 6'&7, blond hair, blue eyes - they used to send him to Germany for procurement meetings. Can't think why :)
Before leaving he took full advantage of the staff allowance and decked his place out. The best speakers I've ever heard.

Driving home this afternoon... on Radio Two they played "Brick House" by the Commodores from 1977..

I cranked it right up...that brought back some good memories!
