This is a bit strange

AI generated Peter Gabriel singing trick of the tail

Tbh I’m more of a Collins fan than a Gabriel fan up to and including Abacab, my favourite Genesis album is Duke. I’m no fan of the mid 80s onwards Collins/Genesis stuff.

Genesis aren't fashionable these days but I like it all ( not illegal alien obviously, nobody likes that), there are those that won't listen to anything after PG left and those that like pop more than prog so like genesis after MAMA so won't listen to the early stuff

I first discovered PG and Genesis at school in 1977, a friend lent me the PG Car album, up to then I'd just listened to whatever was in the charts

Just listening to that Peter Gabriel album changed my whole musical world, I couldn't get enough of prog rock

Trick of the tail was the first genesis album I bought, 45 years on I still like it as much as I did then, the biggest loss to the genesis sound was Steve Hackett IMO

They should've given Ray Wilson more of a chance, have a listen to him singing the carpet crawlers

it's like Phil, Tony and Mike don't even acknowledge calling all stations exists, it's a good album but it's never been performed live and according to Ray he never gets a call if anything is going on with the band

Streaming has introduced me to many bands since, riverside, airbag, Lunatic Soul, porcupine tree, Steven Wilson

I do!

I prefer Collins Genesis and Solo Gabriel...

"Illegal Alien" has not aged well. That said, neither has Phil Collins. However, I'm with Chris on the rest. I like all iterations of Genesis...kinda like Fleetwood Mac pre- and during Buckingham/Nicks era...but Gabriel's solo stuff is on another plane in my opinion. Except "Shock the Monkey"...I would be fine never hearing that again.

I last went to see genesis in 2007 at old Trafford, first time was 1978 in Birmingham, never saw them with Gabriel, too young and I couldn't get out of work for the 1982 reunion at Milton Keynes much as I'd like to have been there, even in the mud and torrential rain.

A mate went, decided to take a short cut back to his car jumped over a wall in the dark that was 5ft this side, 10ft the other side which came as a bit of a surprise

A bigger surprise was the river he hadn't seen between him and the car park which he had to wade across

Mad Man Moon is my favourite off of TOTT. Heathaze from Duke remind of night fishing in the Summer when I was younger. Let’s not forget Wind And Wuthering with some absolute classics on there.
I went to the Six Of The Best show at Milton Keynes, got soaked to the skin, we got pulled over by the police in St Neots on the way home, strip searched for drugs. I’m not the most well endowed man at the best of times but add in a cold wet Autumn day, lol

I remember taking pictures on a cold trackday at oulton park

Went for a pee and I'd grown a vagina, millions of years of evolution condensed to 2 hours
