What have you done to your Maserati today?

Sticky buttons are a… ahem… well worn topic.
Leaving them white is certainly an option. Multiple threads on the site here about getting them professionally repainted or, more recently, using interior black spray paint and adhesive labels to restore them to their black glory.
As for the panel removal. On the left/right sides of the flat screen, pull hard with a trim puller and it will pop right out. Beware that the back end of the unit may well crumble apart as it is made of quite fragile plastic.
The HVAC panel below is then straightforward removal with a few screws.

Enjoy!

Once I took the unit with the reverse gear out (two screws) there is a screw holding the midle panel with the window switches etc, so you rekon a good pull will get that out? It seems really fixed.
As for the colour of the switches I am in two minds I may just repaint them black and I have some transfers I could use.
Anyway Todd Thanks for the responce.

Had a fair bit of steering wheel shake at various speeds coming up through Germany. Found a local one man band in Denmark and stopped by this morning to get all 4 wheels balanced once and for all.
3 of them were massively out requiring quite a few weights (including the one that has just been refurbished AND balanced by Wheelworx in Essex)
Thoroughly tested returning back to the house and it’s night & day. No wobbles or shake at any speed.
Result!

Years ago when I had a TR5 and I was in Italy I took my wheels to be balanced they did not take my wheels off but balanced them on the car, I could not believe what a difference that made.
I have never seen any firm here in the UK that balances wheels on the car, they all take the wheels off.

Never heard of that before either.

There is a name for it (@Zep will almost certainly know). Doesn't have to be on the car but instead of fixing the wheel to the balancing machine using the hole in the centre of the wheel they fix it using the wheel bolt holes. This means that the inevitable slight variations in the overall mass and composition of the wheel are balanced out far more accurately.

That is exactly what the guy used this morning. A special clamp that goes through all 5 wheel bolt holes.
Certainly has done the trick. Steering wheel rock steady at various speeds and no seat wobble/shake.

Not sure why the GT is so sensitive to wheel balancing. I’ve never had the wheels on the 360 rebalanced and not ever had an issue on that car.

It’s a drive flange adapter innit. Although on car balancing it better for classics with heavy brake drums and wire wheels as it balances the whole of the rotating mass. Or old Fiats with stupid bolt spacing and no spigot.

The answer I was looking for is Radial Force Variation.

But your answer has a better ring to it.

Looks ace C. I have been thinking about doing something to my GT wheel. It is the standard black, but would like it to look more like this.

Possible???

Royal steering wheels are who you want - I have a spare wheel you can have them work on while keeping you mobile.

Thanks Zep. A kind offer, but I don't think it would be an issue not being able to use the car for a month or so.

Are RSW able to recover the airbag, as that's the main area I would like in pearl beige?

I would imagine so - its a vinyl cover glued on so peel and replace.

ATS used to have a machine with a wheel that rotated the tyre at high speed. The operator sat on a seat like they were riding it. Saw it used on my car once. It looked like a death trap tbh. Not surprised they are no longer used.

Like this but older:

Zep did mention that it was used 'for classics with heavy brake drums and wire wheels' and the TR did have wire wheels, perhaps with modern setups it would be not so noticeable
