What are the best lease deals at the mo ?

Yes, I must admit, that is a concern. At least we have a main dealer minutes from the office.

Don't get me wrong, I do like a Range Rover (have owned 2) and the outgoing Disco too but every LR product I have owned, and everyone I know that has/had one has had issues. Two friend with RR Sports have had new engines. I had the entire lock system changed on a RR as well as the gearbox. Won't buy another.

I guess time will tell. Yes, my mate had to have a new engine in his Defender, it had done 75k miles and he said "it was normal"

Hi matt- sorry just come back from Disney with the little one so delay in replying.
I agree re interior. It's just a great place to be. It was drizzling a bit this morning and I did exactly what jeremy clarkson said
In his review of Ferraris... opened the garage to admire it, then jumped in the Range Rover, put the heated seats on and cruised into work in comfort.
I like your combination of light grey (is it cirrus?) and pan sunroof. The pan roof makes a world of difference IMO.
I looked at mine this morning and it has the same plastic bits as yours I think. I hardly noticed them TBH and didn't have to take them off to fit the side skirts. The exhaust trims are standard with the 'dynamic'. I think they are expensive to retrofit- but you might be able to get one of your colleagues to fit trims. Not sure if it would affect your T and C with the leasing company. Is it reversible? Do you have twin round exhausts?
The wrapping can be done anywhere, and the company I used (South Wales autowraps) also fitted the side steps (I will PM you the eBay details), tinted the lights and colour coded the calipers.
The 4x4 garage I use to service mine say they hardly ever see the Evoque as they are so reliable- and only charged me 300 for a pretty comprehensive service. I have had it for 9 months and the only warning light I have had was to warn me my screen wash was low.

Is that a basic diesel?
They were offering that sort of deal or better 2-3 years ago.
I would have thought they would be more desperate now.
Sytner are offering 0% finance on BMws- one of my friends just got a brand new X 3 m sport with 5k in and 343/ month on pcp. Much more expensive, larger well specced car. The well specced petrol ghibli version with sports pack etc will be >10 k in and north of 600 / month. Way too much IMO

As Dave says.
6,000 would do me easy.
That price is a joke. The depreciation would be much more. Anyone who wants a ghibli would be mad to buy one IMO.

Bargain that’s only £80 a month more than my Evoque, they are going in the right direction at least. (For leasing)

What's going to happen to the second hand ghibli market? Surely they are unsellable with brand new ones at that price?

Did you get your Evoque sorted in the end? Are you enjoying it?

Don't shoot the messenger Mike, it's exactly why I don't have a lease car, I do 14k a year before any "leisure" driving!!

What, like this?!
:firing:

Seems a lot of money for not many miles.
Although I can't really say anything, if I worked out the pence per mile for using my Maser that is paid for, it would be pound per mile not pence, excluding fuel!!

Thats the point. People can say this is a lot of money for a lease - which I disagree with. I bet there wont be much stock at this price.
If someone bought a stock Ghibli D for 48k they would lose WAY more than this over the 3 year period and it would be an utter ballache to sell at that time.

I don’t want to upset Ghibli owners so am not going to comment.

The Evoque....blown away. I expected some badly Range Rover executed trim over what was essentially a shopping cart but how wrong was I.

Ok everyone lays the boot in with the Girlie tag....then they sit in it and general remarks have been WOW.

Light grey leather over metallic black and full glass roof it certainly is a lovely place to be.

Negatives, none really, a bit of torque steer when you boot it.

Yes but the argument is not that it may be cheaper to lease than buy it's that the lease is not competitive when compared to offerings from other manufacturers. For example, an equivalent BMW 530d xdrive m Sport is about £375 a month with less deposit and 12k miles. If they want to shift units, the Ghibli needs to be similarly priced.

Thanks Matt. I am not going mad then... I agree.
The only thing I would do differently is get a lighter interior like you seem to have - I love the cirrus grey, and perhaps rear entertainment screens. But I do love the recaros.

I agree. That did cross my mind - what else is out there in that bracket. I agree the BMW is probably much better in every way - but the Maserati name, styling and point of difference edges it in terms of value. I think a lot of people would go for it at that price.
When they first came out I was looking at them for 500/month and 10k in, and tempted.
How things change.

I agree that some will buy on the badge over a German equivalent, for sure. But it's still too much of difference for many buyers. I'm sure they know this so I suspect that there is a play not to shift huge volumes which is understandable when they want to balance brand value against sales. I suspect they know more about what they're doing than I do.....but don't tell anyone!

With the current management I doubt it!
I agree its a balance though volume vs prestige. I think at the moment they are on the wrong side of it. They have dented the prestige IMO without breaking the volume barrier. They need a GS replacement to appease everyone, and stop fiddling with the front grill on already beautiful cars :)
