I'm not keen on Cartier, or Patik Phillipe, have seen a Panarai but maybe too chunky for my skinny wrists...

I wasn't a Cartier fan but it was Mrs Catman's choice for her 50th, a pre-used Panthere. It's rather lovely. We then went to see the Cartier exhibition at the Design Museum and I was totally hooked on the Tanks. Some of the Patek Phillipes are OK, but not really me. Panerais really aren't me, but each to their own innit.

Watches are also a passion and hobby with me, I just love repairing mechanical movements. I have too many including some well known luxury brands. My personal favourite is an old Seiko I purchased new back in 1985.View attachment 46947

It is nice :)

I’ve got a Panerai, you’re right about being too skinny :)

Also got a Seamaster chrono, a Mont Blanc Skywalker, a Tudor Heritage Chrono, a Maurice Lacroix Reveille and various cheapos that i have no idea why I keep buying!

I also see them as engineering marvels and that is what attracts me every time.

Watches are fab.

I've got a few, but my vintage Daytona is definitely my favourite...

My uncle left me a nice 70's Daytona, Its too big for me and I don't like bracelets either

It might be for sale though

I don't know what it is with people wanting mechanical movements, from chatting with my mates, they are a PITA to keep wound, don't keep the best of time either and cost a lot more than quartz movements.

I have a few of the usual brands and all my movements are quartz, they keep time perfectly don't need servicing all the time and replacement battery by a certified jewellers who ensure the integrity isn't compromised is less that a £100 ever 3 or 4years.

Even my 70's Gold Omega Seamaster is quartz and doesn't miss a beat.

I bought a Tag Modular 45 Connect last week as Tag claim better integration with the iOS and they aren't wrong, apart from your contacts and calendar everything else works seamlessly, I'm not worried about my contacts as when I get a call it displays the name exactly as filed on my phone, my calendar is better managed on my phone so there's no loss there.

I may eventually switch to Android anyway as getting Pi55ed off with Apple keep updating with 2.5GB downloads on each and every Apple device, just need to work out what to do with my playlists and Apple purchased music, which incidentally is perfectly controlled through the Tag as soon as the music starts playing.

My latest acquisition since I shared my collection with you all back on page 3 of this thread. I was never into Rolex until I saw this one and tried it on. Always wanted a Daytona but tried one on and it was too small for my wrist.

Like the daytona but too small for me. Milgauss isn't my cup pf tea I'm afraid.
Yachtmaster II suits the bi metal best IMHO
