Is it still 10 years that the manufacturer has to make spares for the car?...if so it will not be long before these items will be unavailable esp if any stock is wiped out by all these faulty ones being replaced.

That is worrying especially as my car is now knocking a bit - less than 4 years old, c30,000 miles - so suspension issues seem to be common on these cars.

I would have thought Maserati would make an exception on stuff like these wishbones, after all they are making a very tidy profit on them indeed. I am still hoping someone starts fabricating their own at a reasonable price...

oh dear - will the sun please shine a light on this issue?
My Assetto Corsa has not turned a wheel since October last year.

And my little mx-5 did 230 miles worth of laps around Bedford autodrome, without missing a beat or cooking the brakes. Including one 70 minute session.

Yep but it weighs 500kg less.

One 70 minute session....did you use the brakes or was it a sunday drive out lapping the circuit!!!
Seriously a good friend bought a mark 2 for track days 6 months ago for £900 and loved it. He has just sold it and replaced it with a mark 3 for £11K...only done something silly like 9K miles and bought it from these guys http://www.mx5-racing.co.uk/ complete with their custom exhaust manifold and remapped ecu.
It will be on a track soon!

My arms are being collected tomorrow and returned to Maserati - apparently the latest is that Maserati are still undertaking tests on arm(s) previously returned to factory

I guess trying to find out what type of cheese they are made from.

I think the cheese grade will be fine.
It will be a combination of a thin casting in the area of failure, a stress fracture point in the area of failure, and expanding corrosion of the inner bush, putting internal pressure in the area of failure. I think!

Feel sorry for those who have been off the road now for close to 6 months...esp now the driving season is upon us.

My 42 is at Emblem having its first service since I bought it and guess what - an O/S/F lower suspension arm cracked. Mileage is 74k. Do I need to fill out any forms. And yes, I will keep the cracked one as proof.

Still fills me with huge sadness, every time I see my 3200 jacked up at an odd angle. And when I visit this thread.

Are you not going to get it fixed Rob? I don't think I could not drive it to be honest. In hindsight I probably would have had mine welded but glad I got it fixed.

Sorry to hear you've had that bad news! I have my fingers crossed every time I check mine.

Sorry to hear that. Not the best news that more are affected.

Are there many higher milers out there that are not affected? Or are there not many higher miles 3200 , 4200 or GS's out there with 80k miles or higher at all? Is too higher miles a problem or are they good for 100k & over?

I am very lucky to have a decent backup car :)
But can't hang on forever for Maserati, so will soon have to get it back on all four wheels. Tempted to drive it to the factory and crash it into their shiny reception building.
