Is this some sort of a plan to stop "others" developing a suitable replacement?

Given the success with replacement discs I did wonder if people would sit up and take notice when comments were made here about looking at wishbone replacements.
Perhaps I am as cynical as you?

Eurospares offering cheaper wishbones -: Hi browsing for parts this morning on the Eurospares site and noticed that they are offering Pattern Front Lower and rear lower wishbones for 3200/4200/GS at £395 plus vat each< offer ends at the end of October 2015 and that are showing stock.

Makes little sense to offer those on a limited basis as they will have the tooling costs upfront.
I wonder if that is a strategy to get a significant number of people to buy a bunch of them before they are actually produced so that the customers finance the production.

Eurospares claiming they have stock on their website means very little in my experience.
I ordered a water pump that was on stock and had to wait 1 month to have it delivered

I would imagine with the knowledge and passion on here that the sportsmaserati developed wishbones would be far superior to a cheap copy .

Pattern parts made by who? and to what design, the original or new?

Same again...pattern parts made by who? and to what design, the original or new?

Cant tell you that at the moment. All ill say is that we are going down a similar route as the brake discs.

At £300 from Itally there is no point. They have 10 in stock we should buy the lot.

Can you point me in the direction of these? Mine is starting to grumble... Thanks Not to worry - found it

As a measure of how long Maserati can take to get round to sending out recall notices, I've just received one for the QP, for the well known critical safety issue with the rear tie rods. Replacement of the parts is performed f.o.c. by Maserati, as it's a 'possible safety related concern', and failure of the thread 'may result in partial loss of vehicle control'.

I've had this car for 3 years, and Maserati have only just notified me.

Shame I had them replaced at my expense shortly after buying the car, as they weren't up to scratch... Still, it will mean a free set of rods and full suspension geometry realignment at their expense.

Since the 3200/4200 wishbone recall is only an invitation to have them checked, I doubt they will be investing in 1st class stamps for the wider mailshot. I suspect some owners will be receiving the letter in 2018.

Incredible lack of after care.

When I bought my 3200 and the GRS, I checked with Maserati to see if all of the recalls and campaigns were up to date. I do wonder now if they just answer yes to everyone?

Prior to selling mine, I asked the same question. I was given a print off with dates and mileage when they were done.
