He contacted his insurance company immediately who said there is no way they can move or touch the car due to the water being contaminated!
I'm sorry but I would have moved heaven and earth to get the car moved somewhere safe. I'd have asked a mate with a tow rope to pull me out. Not being funny but my pride and joy would have not been there more than an hour before it was made safe. AND I would have stood guard until it was moved. Just saying like!

Yep I'm not sure I'd stand guard in a flooded area with it in the cold and dark but I see where you are coming from. Maybe the owner saw it as a quick way to have the car written off which apparently contaminated water is one of the criteria!

To be honest I agree...If my car no matter what is was had been contaminating with water I would not want it back..Just like a car that had been stolen recovered...It would never feel the same again...
